How long does it take to earn a Shein order?

It is a fair question, and the honest answer is "it depends". This post splits the answer into parts you can work out yourself, so you can decide whether saving up for an order makes sense.

Every figure below is an example to show the sums. None of it is a promise of what you will earn.

Step one: how much does your order cost?

Do not start from the item prices alone. Add delivery, and leave room for any import charges on parcels that come in from overseas. Our guide to Shein discount codes in South Africa shows how to build that total.

For the rest of this post, suppose three baskets: R 150, R 300 and R 500, all-in.

Step two: what that is in tasks

Each task shows what it pays in rands before you start, so working out how far off a basket is comes down to adding up rewards.

  • R 150 is the smallest of the three baskets to save for.
  • R 300 is double that.
  • R 500 is more than three times it.

Step three: how many tasks that is

Each task shows its pay before you start. Suppose a short survey pays about R 1.50. Then:

  • R 150 is 100 such surveys.
  • R 300 is 200 such surveys.
  • R 500 is about 333 such surveys.

Longer offers pay more per task. A 4,000-point offer is R 30, so R 300 would be ten of them. But those take more effort, and a missed requirement can mean no payment. Our post on how much you can actually earn goes through the trade-off.

Step four: turn tasks into time

This is the part nobody can do for you. Suppose a survey takes ten minutes. If it pays R 1.50, that is R 9 for an hour of work, and if you are screened out part way through it is less. At R 9 an hour, R 300 is about 33 hours.

That is only an illustration. Your rate may be better or worse, depending on which offers you qualify for. Do the sum with real numbers from the offers page, and with your own pace.

Some people spread this over many short sessions, because they do not have an evening free. That works, and it also means weeks rather than days.

Step five: add the waits

Here is where timing differs from other money you earn. Time spent working is not the same as time until you can spend.

  • The 30-day hold. Partner rewards are pending for 30 days while the partner checks the task. Pending money cannot be withdrawn. So the first rands you earn today are not spendable for a month.
  • Reversals. A partner can reverse a task it decides was invalid. If it had already settled, the amount is deducted again.
  • Before a first withdrawal. Identity verification is required, and the account must be at least 24 hours old. See the pre-withdrawal checklist.
  • The approval. A person approves every withdrawal, so we cannot tell you how long that takes.

Not everything waits. Cash drop and scratch card wins credit your spendable balance immediately, but you cannot plan around them, because winning is not guaranteed.

What this means for planning

Put the parts together. If you start today and earn steadily, your earliest settled money arrives roughly a month from now, and later tasks clear a month after each one. A basket of a few hundred rands is therefore a matter of weeks to months, not days.

A few ways to make it easier:

  • Start early. The 30 days begin with your first task, so earning now matters more than earning a lot later.
  • Order smaller. A R 150 basket is half the saving of a R 300 one.
  • Do not order on credit. Spend only money that has already reached your balance.
  • Cut data costs. Read earning without burning your data, because data spent on tasks comes off what you earn.

When your balance has settled, you choose how to take it on the withdraw page. The page on Shein codes explains what we do and do not offer. In short, we have no codes and no Shein voucher yet. We have cash you earned yourself, and plain arithmetic on how long it may take.
