Terms of use
Last updated 20 October 2026
These are the rules for using Mocash. Using the app means you accept them. We have written them plainly on purpose — if any of it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than point at a paragraph.
Who can use Mocash
You must be 18 or older.
You must live in South Africa, because that is where we can pay you.
One account per person. Not one per phone, per SIM or per email — per person.
The details you give us must be your own and must be true. We check them before paying out.
How earning works
You earn by finishing surveys, offers and other tasks from partner networks. Every task shows what it pays in rands before you start.
A reward is pending until it clears, which takes about 30 days. The partner uses that time to check the work was genuine.
Pending money is not yours to withdraw yet. Once it clears it joins your balance and you can take it out.
A partner can reverse a reward it has already paid, even after it clears, if it decides the task was not completed properly. We then take it back off your balance.
The partner decides what a task pays and whether you qualify. We do not set it and cannot overrule it.
Some surveys will screen you out partway through. That is normal and it does not mean anything is wrong.
We cannot promise you any amount. What you earn depends on which tasks are open to you, which you qualify for, and how many you finish.
Taking your money out
Each withdrawal has a R 3.00 fee. It is added on top, so the amount you ask for is the amount you get.
You need to verify your phone number before your first withdrawal, and your identity before we pay.
Your account must be at least 24 hours old.
There is a limit of R 2000.00 in any 24 hours.
If a payout fails, the full amount comes back to your balance — the fee too.
We may hold a withdrawal while we check something. If we do, we will tell you why.
What will get your account stopped
These are the things that cost other people their rewards, which is why we act on them:
More than one account, including accounts made for you by someone else.
Answering surveys dishonestly or at random, or using anything automated to complete tasks.
Using a VPN or anything else to look like you are somewhere you are not.
Referral codes shared with accounts that are not real people.
Giving false identity details, or someone else's.
Depending on what we find we may stop surveys, hold withdrawals, or close the account. Rewards from tasks that were not genuinely completed can be removed. If you think we got it wrong, message support — a person will look at it.
Games on Mocash
Scratch cards, draws and the other games are played with what you have earned. You never pay money in, and nothing here can be topped up with a card or a bank transfer. Prizes are decided by the rules shown on each game, and a draw cannot be entered after it closes.
Things we do not promise
That tasks will always be available, or that you will qualify for them.
That the app will never be down. We will fix it as fast as we can.
That a partner will not reverse a reward. When they do, we have to follow it.
Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act. Where these terms and that Act disagree, the Act wins.
Closing your account
You can close your account whenever you like — email us and we will do it. Anything still pending at that point is lost, so withdraw what has cleared first. We must keep some records for five years afterwards, which the privacy policy explains.
We can close an account for the reasons above, or if we have to stop operating. If we close yours and you have cleared money in it, we will pay that out.
Changes to these terms
When the rules change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. If a change affects your money or your account, we will tell you in the app rather than expecting you to come back and check.
Law and disputes
South African law applies. Tell us first — most things are a misunderstanding we can fix. If we cannot sort it out, you can take it to the National Consumer Commission or a South African court.
