How to download the free Tic Tac Bets app — and how to top up without a deposit
The Tic Tac Bets app is free to download in South Africa. There is no charge to install it and no fee to register an account — the only money involved is what you put in to bet with.
Tic Tac Bets is operated by Vengies Gaming (Pty) Ltd and is licensed by the Northern Cape Gambling Board, which means it is one of the operators legally allowed to take online bets in the Northern Cape. It offers sports betting and casino.
Mocash is what covers the funding side. It is a free-to-use platform where you play lotteries, scratch cards, raffles and daily money drops for real rands, then redeem a voucher to top up a betting account instead of depositing your own money. Mocash is independent and is not Tic Tac Bets.
Install from an official source only. Third-party APK mirrors are the most common way South African bettors get their accounts and banking apps compromised.
Type the address into your browser yourself rather than following a link from an SMS, WhatsApp forward or social media advert. Check the footer for the Northern Cape Gambling Board licence details before you do anything else — lookalike domains are a common phishing tactic.
Google restricts real-money gambling apps on the Play Store by country and licence, so South African bookmakers almost always host the Android APK on their own site instead. You will need to allow installs from your browser in your phone's settings, then open the downloaded file to install it.
Tic Tac Bets does not currently publish a native iPhone app — iOS users run the mobile site in Safari, which mirrors the app's features.
Sign up with your South African ID number, cellphone number and email address. You must be 18 or older, and South African law requires FICA verification with an ID document before Tic Tac Bets can pay out a withdrawal.
Play the free games on Mocash, win real rands, and redeem a voucher to fund your balance — so your first bet comes from winnings rather than your salary.
The app and the account are free. These are the things every licensed South African operator requires before you can bet and withdraw.
Confirm the Northern Cape Gambling Board licence in the site footer before you register
Only install from the official Tic Tac Bets site or the Apple App Store — never from an APK sharing site
Ignore any "free Tic Tac Bets app download" link sent by SMS or WhatsApp, even from someone you know
Never share your OTP, PIN or password — no legitimate operator will ever ask for them
Turn 'install unknown apps' back off once the installation is finished
You must be 18 or older to hold a betting account in South Africa
Every game on Mocash is free to enter. There is no buy-in and no minimum balance, so your betting funds come entirely from winnings.
Winnings are actual cash in your wallet, not bonus credit with wagering conditions you have to clear before you can touch it.
Take your winnings to Tic Tac Bets or any other licensed South African bookmaker — or skip betting entirely and take airtime, data, groceries or prepaid electricity.
Draws, scratch cards and money drops refresh daily and cost nothing to enter, so every day is a new shot.
Mocash runs in your browser, so there is no unofficial APK involved on our side at all.
Because your balance is built from prizes, you are never risking money the household needed for something else.
Yes. Downloading and installing the Tic Tac Bets app costs nothing, and registering an account is free too. You only need money once you want to place a bet, which is where free-to-play winnings from a platform like Mocash can cover you instead of a deposit.
Tic Tac Bets is operated by Vengies Gaming (Pty) Ltd and is licensed by the Northern Cape Gambling Board, one of the nine provincial authorities that licence bookmakers in South Africa. Licence details can change, so always confirm the current registration in the operator's own site footer before you deposit anything.
It is safe when the file comes from Tic Tac Bets's own website. It is not safe from third-party APK mirrors, file-sharing sites or links forwarded on WhatsApp, which are a common source of banking trojans and credential theft in South Africa.
Play the free lotteries, scratch cards, raffles and daily money drops on Mocash. Winnings are paid into your Mocash wallet as real rands, and you can redeem a voucher to top up without ever depositing your own money.
Yes. South African law requires FICA verification, so you will need to submit an ID document before you can withdraw winnings from any licensed operator.
From the official Tic Tac Bets website for Android, where South African bookmakers host their APK directly, and from the Apple App Store on iPhone if a native app is published. Tic Tac Bets does not currently publish a native iPhone app — iOS users run the mobile site in Safari, which mirrors the app's features.
Google restricts real-money gambling apps by country and licence, so most South African bookmakers distribute their Android app as an APK from their own website instead. That is normal here and is not a sign of anything wrong — but it does mean you must be careful to download from the official site.
Yes. The mobile site works in any phone browser and needs no installation, which is a good option if your storage is limited or you would rather not sideload an APK. You get the same account either way.
No. Voucher code generators and 'leaked PIN' lists on social media are scams built to steal your OTP or personal details. Only use vouchers issued by the operator directly or earned on a platform that pays out real winnings.
