Now and then a cash drop appears on the Mocash home page. It is free money for the first people who claim it. This post explains how drops work and how to give yourself the best chance.
How a cash drop works
- Each drop has a set amount, for example R 20, and a set number of winners, for example 10 people.
- It is first come, first served. When the winners are used up, the drop is over.
- Each drop opens and closes at set times. A countdown shows how long is left.
- You can claim each drop once.
The money is ready at once
A cash drop does not wait like a task reward. When you claim one, the money goes straight into your balance. You can take it out or spend it on a scratch card or a draw ticket straight away.
What can stop you claiming
Some drops are for everyone. Others have rules, and the drop card lists them before you tap. A drop can ask for:
- a verified account (your ID is checked);
- a verified phone number;
- an account that is a certain age, for example at least a day old;
- a number of tasks done. Some drops count tasks that are paid. Others also count tasks still waiting for their payday.
If you do not meet a rule yet, the app tells you what is missing, for example "Do 3 tasks to claim this drop (you have done 1)".
How to catch more drops
- Turn on notifications. We often send a push when a drop opens. Without them you will usually be too late.
- Verify your ID and phone early. Then those rules never stop you.
- Keep doing tasks. Drops that ask for tasks done reward people who use the app.
- Open the app often. Live drops show near the top of the home page.
A warning
We never ask you to pay to claim a drop, to send money to anyone, or to share a one-time PIN. A "cash drop" that asks for any of these is not from us. Read red flags of a fake earning app.
